Image based cell analysis

The Cedex XS is a semi-automated image-based cell analyzer that provides information about cell concentration and viability based on the Trypan Blue Exclusion method.

With its revolutionary Cedex Smart Slide, 8 probes can be analyzed with 1 slide. The high resolution camera offers the user a new image quality in color. The software is based on the Cedex 2 software, which is primarily used in GMP validated
biopharmaceutical R&D, Process Development and production processes. The user benefits from Roche Innovatis AG ’ more than 10 years of experience in validated processes and image-based analysis.

The Cedex XS provides fast results combined with a high image quality. In addition to cell concentration and viability, the Cedex XS also provides an analysis of cell diameter and aggregates and displays the results in histograms. Only 10μl of the sample is required for a single analysis. In addition, the user can increase the statistical accuracy by combining the results of more than one probe for a single measurement. A live view of the measurement chamber is available for visual control of the system. Additional software features include data export, the Live Operator for adjustment of the image analysis algorithm and the Cultivation Time Chart for monitoring cell growth and determining specific growth rate and doubling time.
